Party Poker Sets $25,000 Becker “Beat the Ace” Challenge

In celebration of tennis Ace Boris Becker signing as an ambassador for the site, Party Poker is challenging players to “Beat the Ace” heads-up for $25,000.

Party Poker has launched a new promotion in which players have to complete four multi-part missions in order to qualify for four freeroll tournaments. The freeroll tournaments each have a cash prize pool of $5,000; however, the player who performs best across all four freeroll tournaments will have the opportunity to “Beat the Ace” and play Boris Becker heads-up for $25,000.

Compared with the Christmas promotions offered by other online poker sites, the “Beat the Ace” challenge is fairly complicated and has nothing to do with Christmas. The good news is that the winner of the challenge will not be asked to play Boris Becker at tennis, but will be flown out to a “luxury venue” where they will play three heads-up NL Hold´em games against the former Wimbledon champ.

How the “Beat the Ace” Challenge Works

The first stage of the “Beat the Ace” challenge is to complete the multi-part missions. There is no order in which they have to be completed but realistically you are going to need to complete all four to be in with a chance of facing Boris Becker for $25,000. When you complete each mission, you will be awarded a seat in the relevant freeroll tournament.

Mission 1

• Make a deposit.
• Eliminate another player in any Sit & Go game.
• Play fifty Sit & Go hands.

When you complete Mission 1, you will be awarded a seat in the $5,000 freeroll on Saturday 7th January 2017 at 4:00pm (GMT).

Mission 2

• Play five Sit & Go Hero hands.
• Eliminate another player in a Sit & Go Hero game.
• Win a Sit & Go Hero game.

When you complete Mission 2, you will be awarded a seat in the $5,000 freeroll on Sunday 8th January 2017 at 4:00pm (GMT).

Mission 3

• Play 100 hands of fastforward poker.
• Win one hand of fastforward poker.
• Double up in a single fastforward poker hand.

When you complete Mission 3, you will be awarded a seat in the $5,000 freeroll on Saturday 14th January 2017 at 4:00pm (GMT).

Mission 4

• Play ten Sit & Go Hero hands from your mobile.
• Play ten fastforward poker hands from your mobile.
• Play ten “regular” cash game hands from your mobile.

When you complete Mission 4, you will be awarded a seat in the $5,000 freeroll on Sunday 15th January 2017 at 4:00pm (GMT) that can only be played on your mobile phone.

In each freeroll tournament you will be awarded points depending on your finishing position. The points add up on a leaderboard, and the player at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the four freeroll tournaments will fly off to face Boris Becker. Naturally, if you play in all four freeroll tournaments, you will have more chance of topping the leaderboard than if you play in just three freeroll tournaments.

Please note that this is an “opt-in” promotion and, if you have any active Party Poker missions in progress, you will have to pause them before tackling the missions in the “Beat the Ace” promotion.

Can You Beat Boris on the Felt?

If you top the “Beat the Ace” leaderboard, you get to play three games of NL Hold´em against the former Wimbledon champion. Win one of the three games and you will collect $5,000. Win two of the heads-up games and the prize increases to $10,000. Win all three games and you will pick up $25,000. It is not going to be easy (Becker has more than $100,000 in live tournament winnings and has been playing poker for twenty years), but it is there for the taking.
